Your digital pocket camera
Woden Campus - Monday 6 and 19 March from 6.30 - 9pm
This course explores how to make the best use of a digital camera designed to be small and convenient to carry, simple to use and easy on the pocket.
This convenience comes at the cost of flexibility (eg. little zoom). The course concentrates on what the camera can do and how to maximise its usefulness.
While aimed at small cameras with very few user controls, it can includes any compact camera - ie. any camera where all the necessary working parts are in the camer body. It is not suited to cameras with exchangeable lenses.
The course will include good composition and basic photographic techniques within the limitations of the camera.
There will be particular emphasis on the cameras adjustments of variables in the pre-programmed functions (eg. sport, landscape, portrait) and how to use them to advantage.
Phone cameras could also be considered if desired.
There will also be a discussion about managing your photos on your computer.
